VEGAN BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICH - UPTON'S

 

Vegan Triple Crown BBQ Sandwich featuring Upton's Naturals

INGREDIENTS:

  • One package of Upton's vegan chicken (we use ~1/2 cup per sandwich)

  • Triple Crown Classic BBQ Sauce (Cayenne for a touch of heat)

  • Pretzel buns!

Optional

  • Cheese or cheese substitute

  • Cole Slaw (Instructions for homemade coleslaw below)

  • Pickles

  • Peppers 

Instructions

  1. Turn on stovetop and heat medium-sized pan

  2. While the pan is heating prep plates with buns

  3. Add Upton's to the pan and heat for a few minutes until hot

  4. Add to buns

  5. Add optional ingredients for a full sandwich

  6. Enjoy with homemade fries, fruit, or veggies plate

Addition: Vegan Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 Package of tri-cabbage mix - add shredded carrot if not included

  • 2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

  • 1 Teaspoon crushed pepper

  • 1 Teaspoon Celery Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon salt

  • 2 Tablespoons sugar

Addition: Vegan Mayo

Instructions

  • 1 pack of silken tofu - this is the softer tofu and crumbles easier - don't panic if your grocer only carries standard (drain water from the package before use

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (can use any preferred sweetener (maple syrup!))

  • 1/3 tablespoon sea salt

  • 1 tablespoon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice

Instructions

Place all ingredients below into blender or blend by hand until creamy!
