Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb pork shoulder - cooked (not sauced if possible) 1-2'' strips

  • 12oz. of your favorite pasta

  • Sea salt

  • 4 (Four) tablespoons butter

  • 2 (Two) small yellow onions, chopped

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 3 1/2 cups whole milk

  • 2 Cups of Triple Crown BBQ sauce (We recommend the hickory bourbon)

  • Black pepper - Crushed

  • 4 cups of cheese - we recommend using a blend of different cheese varieties

    • ie (1.5 cups mozzarella, 1.5 cups sharp cheddar, 1/2 cup pepper jack)

  • 4oz. cream cheese

  • 2/3 cups bread crumbs

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Set oven to preheat at 350 degrees.

  2. In a large pot, boil noodles until they are not quite cooked - remove pot and strain noodles. They will finish cooking in the sauce

  3. In medium-sized saucepan melt butter

  4. After the butter is melted, add in flour and let it cook for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, slowly begin to add milk to the pan. Continue to whisk while adding the milk and mix until it starts to thicken and bubble

  5. Once the mixture begins to bubble, add your Triple Crown Bourbon Sauce and a 1/2 teaspoon of the salt and pepper. Continue whisk as you add ingredients

  6. Add your pre-cooked pulled pork, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese to the mixture and reduce heat to low.

  7. Add mixture to an oven-safe baking dish and add noodles. Mix the ingredients together evenly distributing the noodles and mix in the dish.

  8. In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, olive oil, and remaining cheese. Spread the topping mixture over the top of your pasta disk

  9. Bake your dish at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. When your dish is complete, the sauce around the noodles should be bubbling on the edges of your crust.
